Saturday 9th July
I have been invited to open many things so far in my term as Mayor but never a shop. I have always said that I wanted to use my year to promote the community. Shops are a vital part of any community so I was more than happy to do it.
Mindy’s Crafty Corner is situated at the bottom of Alexander Road and is deceptively large when you get inside. This is a good job as it is packed with all sorts of artist materials, craft materials and general stationery. There is also a small gallery area for artists to showcase their work and I understand there are plan to hold craft courses there.
If you are already into arts and crafts or are planning to make something for a special occasion it will be worth taking a look. Even if you are not sure exactly what you need, help is at hand to point you in the right direction.
After a short opening speech I had the pleasure of declaring Mindy’s Craft corner open for business.

If you have a shop or business in Skegness and you feel I could help promote something special you are doing this year please get in touch. Thriving local businesses help all of us who live in the town and for that reason I am happy to help if I can.
